On the 16th October, 2006 we opened our store's doors to the public, offering a range of quality new and used English tack and accesories for every level of rider and hopefully to suit every pocket. If you are looking for something in particular please do not hesitate to ask us and we should know where to get it, if we don't already have it.
We are currently displaying a selection of saddles available from Master Saddlers, Black Country Saddles, which are already available from us throughout Canada and we are frantically working to get all our other saddles and products on the site as soon as possible.
Country Equine was set up to help alleviate the problem of finding quality English tack without having to trek from store to store with the possibility of still not finding what you are looking for. Our size and measuring guides, which will be up along side the relevant products, should help you gauge the correct fit and size of almost every product that we sell, but again, should you have any problems, please do not hesitate to ask. Based just outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada, 20 minutes SW of Spruce Meadows, Country Equine is owned by Juliette, a Qualified Saddle Fitter and Member of the Society of Master Saddlers (UK). Juliette is also a rider with over 20 years of successful production and competition riding in UK Working Hunter and Breed Specific Classes for Native Breeds and Arabians to National Championship level, as well as eventing with her wonderful Irish Sport Horse. With 15 years of saddle fitting experience as well as Advanced level Equine Touch bodywork and training as a vet tech and we hope we can provide you with what you need for both yourself and your horse.
Our wonderful members of staff include Velma, who has spent all her life working with and managing horses in the thoroughbred and standardbred industry and who grew up helping her mum, a key figure to in the Sashatchewan Horse industry in her lifetime, run their horse related businesses. Velma works part time for us and is a great asset to us with her knowledge and years of experience.
Becky is our other member of staff, who recently joined us in early February 2008. Becky is another horse person from the UK and has competed successfully for England on the Endurance team. Becky has spent her entire life with horses, growing up on a farm in the middle of Exmoor competing successfully and hunting. Becky has worked as barn manager for some UK barns and can help you with any questions you may have.
In addition to this we also offer in house saddle re flocking and tack repair, plus a drop off point for horse blanket cleaning services. (See services tab)
If we don't have what you are looking for in stock, then we should be able to get it for you. Our contacts with saddleries in both Canada and the UK, provide us with a huge net to cast in the search of the right products.

Now officially open for business, Country Equine is open six days a week Monday through Saturday. 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday thru Friday,Saturday 9:00am till 5:00pm. Mountain standard time.
Shipping
We ship Canada Post Monday through Friday unless you request a different service.
Payment
We accept Visa and MasterCard, American Express, personal checks, money orders and of course cash (in the store). Payment via e-commerce will initially be via Paypal WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT FOR. Orders can be placed via the website for colelction at the store.
